MISC:Andaman and Nicobar Islands were united politically in 1872. Most
of the islands are covered by dense tropical forests with very
beautiful scenery. The climate is tropical. Andaman Islands consist of
three main islands (North, Middle, and South Andaman), and about 210
other islands (including Landfall Island, Interview Island, Labyrinth
Islands, Ritchie's Archipelago, Baratang, Little Andaman, and Rutland
Island), and islets. Nicobar consists of 12 inhabited and 7 uninhabited
islands (principal islands are Camorta, Nancowry, Car Nicobar, and
Great Nicobar). They are subject to monsoons.
